Born in the ancient city of Nablus, in the heart of Palestine, Ahmad and Laila experienced the complexities of life under occupation from a young age. Despite the daily challenges, they were nurtured by a community rich in history and culture, where the resilience of the people mirrored the enduring olive groves of their homeland. ​ Ahmad, with his sharp mind and curious nature, and Laila, with her compassion and keen sense of justice, found solace and purpose in the world of computer science. At Al-Najah University in Nablus, they not only honed their technical skills but also cultivated a vision to leverage technology for the betterment of their community. ​ Upon completing their studies, the duo set their sights on Berlin, a city renowned for its vibrant tech scene and its historical resilience. They were driven by a dual purpose: to advance their education and careers in a city that symbolized reinvention and to support their families and communities back in Palestine. ​ Berlin proved to be a fertile ground for Ahmad and Laila's aspirations. While they immersed themselves in advanced studies and innovative work environments, they remained deeply connected to their roots. Their experiences in Nablus had instilled in them a profound sense of responsibility towards their fellow Palestinians. ​ Joining the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) in Berlin, they found a platform to amplify their voices and contribute to the Palestinian cause. Their tech-savvy approach brought fresh perspectives to the organization, enabling them to spearhead fundraising campaigns that resonated with a global audience. ​ Particularly moved by the plight of children in Gaza following severe attacks, Ahmad and Laila launched initiatives to provide educational and psychological support to young Palestinians. Their efforts were instrumental in raising significant donations, which were channeled into programs aimed at nurturing the resilience and potential of the younger generation. ​ As they navigated their journey in Berlin, Ahmad and Laila never lost sight of their ultimate goal: to create a future where the people of Palestine could thrive in peace and dignity.
